The day started at 12 degrees below zero, but it was sunny and soon turned into an ideal sculpting day.
We had to remove a large amount of snow, and it went quite well.
To the right, John Bruning is using Dan's ice fishing drill to break a layer of snow away
from the scuplture.
This work can be dangerous, at least for sloppy teams. In the photo below, a large chunk
of snow is falling against the scaffolding while Robert Longhurst is working
on the top level of the scaffolding. You can see the metal bending. But Robert was lying down
at the time, so could maintain his balance throughout this incident.
At the end of the day our extrusion was complete.
