Globe Gilia (Ipomopsis globularis)

These are rare. These photos were taken about 1/3 of the way along the Hoosier Pass to Boreas Pass hike on July 16, 2017. The only known occurrences of this flower (in the world!) are on the Continental Divide between Georgia Pass and North Star Mountain, with some additional locations farther south.

On July 13, 2018, we found some on the Continental Divide just N of Black Powder Pass.
