Alpine Laurel (Kalmia microphylla)

As always, when the sun is not out, the colors come out nicely. The first shot was taken near Loveland Pass. These flowers like moisture, so grow in areas where one is also likely to find Parry’s primrose.

And this one, from Loveland Pass (7/11/2017) is perhaps the best overall.
