Steep Skiing

Day 6 (May 20, 2000) was one of the best as we descended through an icefall back to Camp 2 (13500') after carrying a load to Camp 3 (15400'). The seracs lining the route were the largest I have ever seen. Here Leslie is skiing down, with much of the King Trench visible. Our base camp, where the plane drops, us off, was way down the trench, around the corner to the left.
