Prospector Col
Prospector Col, from where this photo was taken, is the pass one must cross to gain the infamous summit plateau of Logan. It is very high (18400'), very cold, and well above everything else. Leslie Ross approaches the col with King Peak, Canada's third highest at 16973', in the background. That night air temperatures reached -40 (the unique fixed point of the F = C equation), and there were moderate winds, so it was by far the coldest night of the trip.
