Day One: Fly In and Easy Hike
I think I have never seen such a clear day for flyint! This is a Bell 407, a very powerful machine.
Here is David Peak on left (Cony and Twin Towers on right). Jonathan Kriegel, Chic Scott, and I climbed David in 2002 (after a mistaken climb of the flat ridge on left). David is named after my sister’s father-in-law David Hope-Simpson, a mining engineer in the area around 1950. It was originally called David’s Folly, which his colleagues called it after David made the first ascent.
