Torreys, Dead Dog Couloir

While skiing Edwards in June 2004 we got a nice view of the famed Dead Dog Couloir, which descends from just east of the summit of Torreys. This chute faces southeast and so one wants an early start on this one. But it certainly looks like an elegant line. Be sure to watch for climbers on the way up as you ski down, since it seems to be a popular route with the ice-ax-and-crampon crowd.
