Day 5: The Results Are In
What a great end to the event. We waited until 10 am to take out the final supports, and that provided lots of drama. There was a huge crowd cheering Sheba as she made the final cuts. The piece stayed up nicely, and is really stunning. Did the judges agree? Sort of. They gave us an Honorable Mention for "Expressive Impact". Four honorable mentions were given. The top three prizes went to: 3: Breckenridge, Statue of Liberty Torch; 2: Russia: Prometheus and the Eagle; 1: Canada (Br. Columbia) for their jazzy giant bass viol player, which really was spectacular.
