Day 4: Smoothing Out the Edges

The day was spent scraping and rasping toward geometric perfection. The Breckenridge crowds have been very supportive, fascinated by the intricate design of Sheba's piece. All that remains is to cut out the small supports underneath the central ribbon. We think it will stand on its own for at least a week. It was tremendous to see all the edges and surfaces finally coming together into a symmetric whole.

Sheba explains to onlookers the inspiration behind "A Twist in Time."

The team is working from all angles of the sculpture to achieve perfection.
